Deep Forest Bath Salt
Deep Forest is the blend of Coarse Dead Sea Salt with Cedarwood, Cajeput and Longleaf Pine essential oils.
Suggested use: 1/2-1 cup dissolved in warm water.
The waters from the Dead Sea are unique in that they contain 27% of various salts as compared to 3% in normal sea water. Dead Sea Salts contain 21 minerals including magnesium, calcium, sulfur, iodine, sodium, zinc and potassium.
Magnesium is important for combating both stress and fluid retention, slowing skin aging and calming the nervous system. It also assists in calcium and potassium uptake. Calcium is effective at preventing aching joints, eczema, hypertension, muscle cramps, nervousness and insomnia. It is vital for the formation of strong bones and teeth and maintenance of gums. Sulphur disinfects the blood, protects against toxic substances. It is found on all body tissues and is needed for the synthesis of collagen, a protein that gives the skin is structural integrity. It is supposed to slow the aging process. Iodine helps metabolize excess fat and is important for physical and mental development. It is also needed for a healthy thyroid gland. Sodium helps muscles and nerves work properly by assisting muscular contraction and transmission of nerve signals. Cedarwood (Juniperus virginiana) has anti-septic, anti-spasmodic, astringent and insecticidal properties. Used for acne, dandruff, eczema, greasy hair, insect repellents, oily skin and psoriasis.
